- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
For the Chili and Sea Salt
- 1/2 a tin of organic chickpeas
- 1 teaspoon of dried chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt
Method
- First, preheat the oven to 200°C (390 fahrenheit) and drain your tin of chickpeas.
- Divide into two bowls ready for seasoning.
- For the sweet, coat the chickpeas in the maple syrup and top with cinnamon.
- Next, lay the mixture onto a baking tray and spread evenly.
- For the savoury, coat the chickpeas in the olive oil and add the chili flakes and sea salt.
- Lay this mixture onto a separate baking tray and spread evenly also.
- Place both trays into the oven and allow to cook.
- Check on the chickpeas every 10 minutes, giving them a slight stir to ensure both sides are cooking evenly.
- After 25-30 minutes, taste a chickpea of each flavour to make sure that they are crunchy and crispy.
- Cook for a further 5-10 minutes if they are a little soft.
- Once ready, remove from the oven, allow to cool to room temperature then serve.
