Carly Hicks
In 2012 at age 24, I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Metaplastic Atrophic Gastritis, MTHFR, Helico Bactor, and B12 deficiency. I was struggling with severe symptoms such as, paralysis to the right side of my body, severe depression and anxiety, memory loss, and I was only able to live off 4-6 foods without having my symptoms intensify. I decided to take a more natural approach to my health. I ditched all the toxins I was using on my body, in my home and decided to only eat foods that were going to nourish me from within. I'm happy to say that after 3 years of being diagnosed I no longer suffer from any symptoms to do with my Autoimmune Disease. I'm the happiest and healthiest I've ever been, and I now have discovered a passion for creating healthy meals that I share with my readers, and I'm also now in my 2nd year as a Naturopathic student at Endeavour College. I share my journey with regaining my health with my readers in the hopes to help anyone who may be going through a hard time with their body and just need a safe space to connect and know they aren't alone.
